Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Return Window
We offer a 30-day return window from the date of delivery for eligible items. Claims made outside of this period may still be assessed under Australian Consumer Law where applicable.
What We Consider a Valid Return
You may return a product if it:
- Is faulty or defective (not caused by misuse)
- Is significantly different from the description or sample shown
- Does not do what it is supposed to do
- Has a major failure that cannot be repaired within a reasonable time
How to Request a Return
To initiate a return, contact us at sales@saurithhouse.com.au within 30 days of delivery. Please include your order number, a description of the issue, and photos where applicable. We will respond with our Australian warehouse return instructions within 1–2 business days.
Return Shipping Costs
- Faulty, damaged, or incorrectly sent items: Saurith House covers all return shipping costs in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
- Change of mind returns: The customer is responsible for return postage costs. Items must be returned in original, unused condition.
Refund Process
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome. If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days. We are not responsible for delays caused by your financial institution.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned unless they are faulty:
- Opened or used pet food, treats, or consumable wellness products (for hygiene and safety reasons)
- Perishable goods
- Downloadable digital products
- Items marked as final sale
For pet health and wellness products, we strongly recommend checking product suitability with your veterinarian before purchase, as we are unable to accept returns based on a pet's individual reaction or preference.
